Director of Rehabilitation
Michael graduated from the University of Texas in 1994, He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and occupational therapy. He has been a practicing clinician for 19 years, working in pediatrics and with both inpatient and outpatient adult populations, and for the past 11 years working in Skilled Nursing. He worked in private practice and his own business working with Mexican-American children on the Texas/Mexico border for seven years. He has been an adjunct teacher for occupational therapy at the University of Pan America in Edinburg, Texas. He also served as the cluster chair for the Board of Occupational Therapy in Texas for three years, and has been the Director of Rehabilitation for the past seven years. As a clinician, his passion is working with the neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic patients. He has developed numerous programs for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients in order to enhance the quality of life for those afflicted with mild to severe dementia. He has been married for 23 years and has two children. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, camping, and his children’s sports.
